32. Al-Sajdah/The Prostration

I/We begin by the Blessed Name of Allah

The Immensely Merciful to all, The Infinitely Compassionate to everyone.

32:01
a. Alif. Lam. Mim.

32:02
a. There is absolutely no doubt that this Book - The Divine Qur’an - has been sent down from Rabb -The Lord of all existence.

32:03
a. Or do they still allege:
b. He – The Prophet – has forged it?
c. No!
d. In fact, it is The Truth from your Rabb - The Lord.
e. Its purpose is that you may warn a people to whom no Warner had been assigned before you from the time of Ishmael, the firstborn of Abraham,
f. so that they may reflect upon it and be guided aright.

32:04
a. It is Allah WHO created without a precedent the celestial realm and the terrestrial world, and whatever is between and beyond them, in six days/time span,
b. then, HE established HIMSELF upon The Throne of Almightiness.
c. You have no protector and no intercessor other than HIM.
d. So will you then not reflect and believe?

32:05
a. HE directs the affairs of the terrestrial world from the celestial realm, i.e., The Throne of Almightiness,
b. then the affairs will all ascend to HIM for resolution on a Day,
c. the extent of which is as long as it were equivalent to one thousand years which you count.

32:06
a. Such is HE - Allah!
b. The Knower of the ‘unknown’ - all that is beyond the reach of human perception, and the ‘known’ - all that can be apparently visualized by human senses.
c. HE is The Almighty in retribution against the disbelievers, The Ever-Compassionate
towards the believers.

32:07
a. It is Allah WHO created everything perfectly in accordance with the functions intended for it, and
b. HE initiated the creation of the human species out of the clay, i.e., Adam.

32:08
a. Then, HE made his lineage from the extract of despicable fluid.

32:09
a. Then, HE proportioned him gradually in his mother’s womb in accordance with HIS Design, and
b. breathed into him some of HIS Spirit.
c. And made for you the faculties of awareness:
- the hearing - perception, and
- the eyesight - vision, and
- the hearts - feelings, insight, and heart neurons.
d. Despite these blessings, you are rarely grateful to HIM.

32:10
a. Yet they question:
b. ‘When we die and our bodies are lost in the earth/grave, will we ever be resurrected in a new dimension of existence?’
c. They are asking not to know the truth.
d. In fact, they are rather denying and belying the reality of meeting with their Rabb - The Lord.

32:11
a. Say:
b. One day the Angel of Death, entrusted with you, will retrieve you by seizing your souls from your bodies.
c. Then you will be returned to your Rabb - The Lord to stand accountable for your beliefs, motives, deeds, and dealings.

32:12
a. And at the Time of their meeting with their Rabb, if you could only see the criminals - hanging their heads dejectedly before their Rabb - The Lord - pleading:
b. O ‘Our Rabb - The Lord!
c. We have now seen and heard the reality of truth, and are ready to be obedient to YOU.
d. So send us back to the worldly life, so that we can practice righteousness.
e. Now we believe with certainty’ of the reality of truth.

32:13
a. And had WE so desired, WE could have imposed Guidance on every person,
b. but WE had not desired it to be so.
c. Thus MY Word will take effect concerning the disbelievers:
d. ‘I will definitely fill up the Hell with jinn and human being - all of them together.’

32:14
a. Those who had willingly chosen to deny the belief will enter the Hell, and its Keepers will say to them:
b. ‘So taste now the consequences of your deliberate heedlessness of the Meeting of this Time of your judgment.

c. So now WE, for sure, are going to ignore you.
d. Thus, taste the punishment of eternity for what have been doing’ in the worldly life.

32:16
a. They make their sides – bodies - withdraw from their beds during wee hours of the night, so as to call upon their Rabb - The Lord earnestly in awe and hope,
b. and, they spend in charity out of what WE provide for them.

32:17
a. And as for such believers, no one can imagine what joyous means of happiness are kept hidden for them – as a reward for what they used to do in their worldly life.

32:18
a. They do not believe in it.
b. Ask them:
c. Will then the one who believes and practices righteousness be the same in his ultimate destiny as the one who does not believe and has crossed all limits of morality?
d. No!
e. They can never be the same!

32:19
a. As for those who believe and practice righteousness,
b. for them will be Gardens of Rest and Shelter in heaven, as hospitality for what they used to do in the worldly life.

32:20
a. And as for those who disbelieve and cross all limits of morality, their shelter is going to be The Fire.
b. Every time they try to get out of it, they will be pushed back into it.
c. And they will be told:
d. ‘Taste/suffer now the punishment of The Fire, which you used to belie’ and deny!

32:21
a. However, WE will, most certainly, make them taste/suffer the lesser punishment during this lifetime before the greater punishment in the Hereafter -
b. so that they might repent, reform, and return to The Path of Allah.

32:22
a. And who could be more unfair than the one, who, when reminded repeatedly of one’s Rabb
- The Lord ‘s Messages in The Qur’an turns away from them in aversion?
b. WE are indeed going to wreak vengeance upon such criminals.

32:23
a. O The Prophet!
b. And, indeed, WE gave Moses the Scripture - the Torah – and then WE took revenge from those who belied and denied it.
c. So do not be in any doubt concerning the same truth in the Revelations to you.
d. And, WE made it – The Torah – a source of Guidance for Descendants of Jacob just as WE are now making The Qur’an a source of Guidance for humankind.

32:24
a. And WE set up religious leaders among them guiding their people by OUR Command in The Torah.
b. And, WE favored them when they patiently persevered and were certain of the truth and enactment of OUR Messages.

32:25
a. Indeed, your Rabb - The Lord – is the One WHO will judge between them at the Time of Resurrection concerning their differences.

32:26
a. Is it not an indication for them – those who deny the truth - how many generations did WE destroy before them as they walk about in the ruins and archaeological remains of their habitations?
b. Indeed, there are lessons in this.
c. So will they still not listen to The Truth of The Qur’an?

32:27
a. And do they not observe that WE drive the rain water on to the arid land, and
b. with it WE enliven the arid land to produce all sorts of vegetation for their livestock as feed
and crops for themselves as food?
c. So will they still not see and perceive the truth of Resurrection?

32:28
a. Instead, they question the believers:
b. ‘When will this decision be - if you are truthful?’

32:29
a. Say O The Prophet:
b. At the Time of Decision, their belief will not benefit those who disbelieve now,
c. nor are they going to get any further amnesty.

32:30
a. So turn aside from them and wait.
b. They too are waiting.
