45. Al-Jathiyah/The Kneeling Down

I/We begin by the Blessed Name of Allah

The Immensely Merciful to all, The Infinitely Compassionate to everyone.

45:01
a. Ha. Mim.

45:02
a. The sending down of this Book - The Divine Qur’an - is from Allah,
b. The Almighty, The All-Wise.

45:03
a. Indeed, there are Wonders of Allah’s Creative Power throughout the celestial realm and the terrestrial world for all who are willing to believe.

45:04
a. And as they exist in your own creation and in the creation of a variety of other living creatures,
b. that HE scatters throughout the terrestrial world are Wonders for a people who are firm in
belief.

45:05
a. And so too in the alternation of the nighttime and the daytime,
b. and in the means of livelihood which Allah sends down from the sky clouds then HE enlivens the land after it had been made lifeless by prolonged exposures to drought,
c. and in the changing of direction, velocity, and temperature of the winds,
d. in all these are Wonders of Allah’s Creative Power for a people who understand.

45:06
a. These are the Messages of Allah,
b. that WE recite/convey to you in all truth.
c. So then in what other kind of a discourse will they ever believe if not in Allah and HIS Messages?

45:07
a. Woe to every impulsive liar and the sinful……

45:08
a. …. who hears Allah’s Messages in The Qur’an being recited to him,
b. and yet he persists in disbelief arrogantly as if he had never heard them.
c. So give him the good news of an awful punishment.

45:09
a. And whenever he comes to know of any of OUR Messages in The Qur’an, he takes them in jest and mockery.
b. Those - for them is going to be a woeful punishment.

45:10
a. Hell will be standing right in front of them.
b. And all that they have earned in their worldly life will be of no use to them,
c. nor will those whom they adopted as protectors apart from Allah.
d. For them is going to be an awful punishment.

45:11
a. Therefore take this Qur’an as a source of Guidance.
b. And for those who deny and belie the Messages of their Rabb - The Lord – for them is going to be a most painful punishment.

45:12
a. It is Allah WHO has placed the sea at your service so that it may be of benefit to you,
b. and the ships may sail through it by HIS Command,
c. so that you may seek in trade and commerce what you need some of HIS Favors,
d. and thus you may be grateful to HIM.

45:13
a. And HE has also put at your service whatever is in the celestial realm and the terrestrial world -
b. - all of it is a token of favor from HIM.
c. Indeed, in all this are Messages for a people who reflect.

45:14
a. Tell all those who believe to forgive those who cause them harm and do not expect in the coming of the Times of Allah.
b. For HE will reward such people with whatever they may have earned.

45:15
a. Whoever practices righteousness, it is to the benefit of oneself,
b. and whoever does an evil, it is to the detriment of oneself.
c. In the end, you will all be brought back to your Rabb - The Lord for judgment and awards.

45:16
a. And, indeed, WE gave Descendants of Jacob
- the Scripture - The Torah - and
- the Law, and
- the Prophethood in the same way and for the same purpose as WE now confer this Qur’an on to you,
b. and WE also provided them with good things of life,
c. and WE favored them over all other people of their time.

45:17
a. And WE gave them clarity in the matter of faith too.
b. Yet they fell into dispute only after the knowledge of the revelation had come to them out of rivalry and jealously among themselves.

c. Indeed, your Rabb - The Lord will judge among them concerning their disputes at the Time of Final Judgment.

45:18
a. And now - with this Qur’an - WE have set you, O The Prophet, on a clear religious Course/
Path.
b. So follow this diligently!
c. And do not follow the whims of those who have no understanding of the Divine Guidance.

45:19
a. Surely, they cannot be of any help to you against Allah’s Punishment.
b. And, in reality, the unjust/wrongdoers are allies of one another,
c. whereas Allah is the Ally of the virtuous.

45:20
a. This Qur’an is a source of enlightenment for humankind,
b. and a means of guidance and mercy for a people who are inclined to have firm belief.

45:21
a. Or do those who earn evil deeds and dealings expect that WE will ever consider them or treat them in terms of reward the same way as those who believe and practice righteousness
– that they will be alike in their life and their death?
b. No. Not indeed!
c. Indeed, wrong is what they judge!

45:22
a. And, Allah has created celestial realm and the terrestrial world for a purpose,
b. so that every human soul - righteous or sinful - may be rewarded for whatever it earned,
c. and they will not be treated unfairly.

45:23
a. Have you ever considered the kind of a person who takes his own vain desires as the object of his worship?
b. And, thus, Allah Knowing him as such, leaves him to go astray,
c. seals his hearing and veils his heart,
d. and also shrouds his vision.
e. Who would then guide such as person other than Allah WHO left him to go astray?
f. Will you not realize?

45:24
a. But they say:
b. ‘There is nothing beyond our life of this world;
c. we are all going to die just as we live, and nothing can destroy us but the time.’
d. However, they have no real knowledge of this: life, death, and the Hereafter.
e. And thus they are merely guessing.’

45:25
a. And whenever OUR Messages from the Qur’an about the Hereafter are recited to them in all clarity,
b. their only argument is nothing but to say:

c. Then ‘bring back our forefathers to life so that they can tell us of their experiences of the Hereafter, if you are honest’ in saying that we will be resurrected after death.

45:26
a. Say to them:
b. ‘Allah gives you life in the bellies of your mothers, and then makes you die,
c. and then HE is going to gather you together from the first to the last of you during the Time of Resurrection in the coming of which there is absolutely no doubt.
d. But most people cannot comprehend’ these truths.

45:27
a. And for Allah is the Sovereignty of the celestial realm and the terrestrial world.
b. And the Time when The Last Hour will be established,
c. at that Time the Followers of Falsehood are going to lose.

45:28
a. And you will see every community will be on its knees in humility,
b. as every community will be called to its Record of deeds and dealings.
c. And it will be said to them:
d. ‘This time you are going to be paid for all that you used to do.’

45:29
a. Voice would sound:
b. ‘This is OUR Record.
c. It speaks about/against you in all truth.
d. Indeed, WE have been transcribing everything you were doing’ in your worldly life.

45:30
a. As for those who believed and practiced righteousness,
b. their Rabb - The Lord will admit them into HIS Mercy: the Paradise.
c. That will be their imminent success!

45:31
a. But as for those who denied and belied, it will be said:
b. ‘Were MY Messages from The Qur’an not recited to you?
c. Yet you turned away arrogantly.
d. And so you were of a people who thus became criminals’ - guilty of disbelief and a life full of sin.

45:32
a. And whenever it would be said to you:
b. ‘Surely, Allah’s Promise of Resurrection is true.
c. And there is absolutely no doubt about the coming of The Last Hour’ whereupon the Resurrection would commence.
d. You would argue:
e. ‘We do not know what that Last Hour is.
f. We think it is only a hypothetical notion.
g. So we are not convinced’ about its reality.

45:33
a. And during that Hour, the evil of their doings and dealings will become clear to them,
b. and that punishment which they used to mock will surround them.

45:34
a. And, thus, it will be said to them:
b. ‘Today WE are going to forget/ignore you, just as you forgot/ignored the Meeting of this Time of yours.
c. And the Fire is going to be your home.
d. And you will have no helpers to salvage you from it.’

45:35
a. ‘This is because you used to take the Messages of Allah in The Qur’an for a joke and in mockery,
b. and pleasures of the worldly life deceived you.
c. So from this Time, they will neither be brought out of it – the Hell-Fire,
d. nor will they be given the chance to appease’ their Rabb - The Lord.

45:36
a. And, so all Praise and Gratitude be to Allah:
b. Rabb - The Lord Creator of the celestial realm, and
c. Rabb - The Lord Creator of the terrestrial world, and
d. Rabb - The Lord Creator of the entire existence.

45:37
a. To HIM alone belongs the Exaltation throughout the celestial realm and terrestrial world.
b. And HE alone is the Almighty, the All-Wise.
