55. Ar-Rahman/The Immensely Merciful

I/We begin by the Blessed Name of Allah

The Immensely Merciful to all, The Infinitely Compassionate to everyone.

55:01
a. Allah - The Immensely Merciful.

55:02
a. The One WHO taught to read and understand The Qur’an.

55:03
a. HE created the human species and everything else.

55:04
a. And HE taught him intelligent thought and coherent speech.

55:05
a. The sun and the moon move in their calculated courses;

55:06
a. and the plants - herbs/grass - and the trees both comply with what is required of them - to HIS Laws.

55:07
a. And the celestial realm - HE raised up high above the earth, and
b. has set up the balance,

55:08
a. so that you may not go beyond your own limits of the balance,

55:09
a. and establish the weight in justice, and
b. do not cheat and skimp the balance.

55:10
a. And the terrestrial world -
b. HE set it in place for the living of all creatures: humans, jinn, and others;

55:11
a. in it are fruits of immense variety, color, flavor, and taste, and
b. the date-palms with sheathed clusters of fruit stalks,

55:12
a. and also grains – wheat, corn, and barley - with its husk as fodder for your livestock, and
b. fragrant flowers and scented herbs.

55:13
a. Then how many of the Infinite Bounties of your Rabb - The Powerful Lord will you both,
human and jinn, deny?

55:14
a. HE created the human species of animated clay, malleable like that of pottery.

55:15
a. And HE created the jann/jinn species of the fusion of fire.

55:16
a. Then which of the Creative Powers of your Rabb - The Lord Creator will you both challenge?

55:17
a. HE is Rabb - The Lord of the two vast expanses of the east, and Rabb - The Lord of the two
vast expanses of the west.

55:18
a. So which of the Supreme Powers of your Rabb - The Lord Creator and Sustainer will you both repudiate?

55:19
a. HE has let flow forth the two seas of sweet and salty water to meet together in the perception of the eye,

a. but between them is a barrier, by HIS Power which they cannot cross and merge with each other.

a. Which, then, of the Miraculous Wonders of your Rabb - The Lord would you both not even
acknowledge?

a. From both of these sweet and salty seas come out the pearls and the corals of various shades, qualities, and sizes.

a. So which of the Unprecedented Wonders of your Rabb - The Lord of All Power will you both belie?

a. And for HIM are the sailing ships that plough through the deep seas, appearing like mountains.

a. So which of the Supreme Wonders of your Rabb - The Lord - Who Rules Supreme - will both of you deny?

a. Everyone and everything on it – the terrestrial world - is transitory and going to perish with cosmic catastrophes,

a. and all that to remain forever will be the Face of your Rabb - The Lord -
b. Full of Splendor and Full of Honor.

a. So which of the Unique Attributes of your Rabb - The Ever-Living, The Self-Subsisting - can you both refuse to believe?

a. Whatever and whoever is within the celestial realm and the terrestrial world turns to HIM with solicitation of provisions, mercy, and compassion.
b. Every moment of every day mighty matters engage HIM all the time.

a. So which of your Rabb - The Lord’s Attribute of The Enricher can you both even disavow?

a. WE will soon call you to account, O you two heavy ones - prominent creations: jinn and human.

a. WE will then see which of the bounties of your Rabb - The Lord have you both – jinn and human – been denying?

a. O Communities of Jinn and Human!
b. If you reckon that you have the ability to pass through and beyond the spherical regions of
the celestial realm and the terrestrial world, then go ahead and try.
c. But you cannot pass through them and beyond - as these are Our Realms - without OUR
Authority.

a. So which aspect of the Overpowering Might of your Rabb - The Lord can you both refute?

a. Even if you venture to pass through the spherical regions of the celestial realm and the terrestrial world a rolling flare of fire and flash of smoke will be unleashed and you will not be able to defend/protect yourselves.

a. Then which of your Rabb - The Lord’s Power can you both, jinn and human, deny?

a. What may happen when the celestial realm will split open, and turns rosy-red like crimson leather.

a. So which of your Rabb - The Lord’s Overwhelming Powers will you both denounce?

a. Neither human nor jinn will be questioned at that Time of Final Judgment about their sinful offenses as these would be apparent from their marks.

a. WE shall see which of the Powers of your Rabb - The Lord’s Judgment will you both then question?

a. The criminals among the jinn and the human will be recognized by their foreheads/marks,
b. and will be seized by their forelocks/hair and their feet.

a. So which of the Powers of Vengeance of your Rabb - The Lord will the two of you not admit?

a. They would be told:
b. This is the Hell, the existence of which you, the criminals used to belie, deny, and ridicule.

a. They will go round and round between it – Hell - and hot scalding water.

a. So which of the Exalted Attributes of your Rabb - The Lord will the two of you deny?

a. But for the one who lived in awe of the standing before his Rabb - The Lord for the Reckoning in the Hereafter will have two gardens.

a. So which of the Blessings of your Rabb - The Lord of Infinite Beneficence will you both refuse?

a. Both gardens will be abound with limitless blooming branches.

a. So which of the Graceful Favors of your Rabb - The Munificent Lord can the two of you
ever renounce?

a. In both will be a pair of flowing springs.

55:51
a. So which of the Blessed Favors of your Rabb - The Lord Bountiful would you both not acknowledge?

a. In both will be a pair of every kind of fruit.

a. So which of the Unparalleled Favors of your Rabb - The Lord of Sustenance will you be denying?

a. While reclining upon furnishings upholstered in silk brocade, the fruits of both gardens will be hanging low, within reach, easy to pick.

a. So which of the Kindness of your Rabb - The Lord of Benevolence can the two of you refuse to admit?

a. In them will be chaste-eyed, untouched before by any human or jinn.

55:57
a. So which of the Graceful Favors of your Rabb - The Lord of Affection will you both rebuff?

55:58
a. They would look as if they were rubies in their purity and beauty and coral in their fairness and radiance.

55:59
a. So which of the Blessed Favors of your Rabb - The Lord Benefactor will the two of you discard?

55:60
a. Would there be any reward for kindness and goodness except kindness and goodness
granted through bliss?

55:61
a. So which of the blessings of your Rabb - The Lord of Goodness can the two of you confute?

55:62
a. And besides these two mentioned gardens, will be another pair of gardens.

55:63
a. So which of the Eternal Favors of your Rabb - The Lord Benevolent will you both dispute?

55:64
a. Both gardens deeply green in color and fresh.

55:65
a. So how many of the Blessings of your Rabb - The Lord Bountiful will you both dismiss?

a. In both of them will be a pair of springs, spouting constantly.

55:67
a. So how many of the Infinite Favors of your Rabb - The Lord - WHO is Appreciative of your good deeds, speech, and dealings - will you both not appreciate?

a. In both gardens will be fruits and date palms and pomegranate.

55:69
a. So which of the Kindness of your Rabb - The Lord Clement will you both refuse?

a. In the midst of both gardens will be the best in nature, very beautiful females in appearance.

55:71
a. So which of the Graceful Favors bestowed by your Rabb - The Lord Beneficent will you both not acknowledge?

a. Bright-eyed heavenly female companions cloistered in grand pavilions.

55:73
a. So which of your Rabb - The Lord’s Affection will the two of you ever dis-awe?

a. Untouched before by any human or jinn.

55:75
a. So which of the Blissful Bounties of your Rabb - The Lord Benignant will you both refuse to acknowledge?

55:76
a. Reclining on green cushions, in splendid surroundings: beautiful and elegant.

55:77
a. So how many of the pleasures from your Rabb - The All-Caring Lord will you both be denying?

a. Blessed be The Sacred Name of your Rabb - The Lord Besought -
b. Full of Majesty and Full of Honor.
