I/We begin by the Blessed Name of Allah

The Immensely Merciful to all, The Infinitely Compassionate to everyone.

64:01
a. Whatever is within the celestial realm the terrestrial world is Glorifying Allah – The One and Only God.
b. For HIM is The Sovereignty, and for HIM is The Praise and Gratitude.
c. And HE Manifests Sovereignty over all existence.

64:02
a. It is HE WHO created you as human species starting from Adam and Eve,
b. then, among you, some would be a disbeliever and among you some would be a believer.
c. And Allah Watches over whatever you do: good and evil.

64:03
a. HE created the celestial realm the terrestrial world with truth: meaningfully and for a
definite purpose,
b. and gave you shape and shaped you well,
c. and made the human form to be the best of forms.
d. And to HIM is going to be your return: starting with death and then upon the resurrection.

64:04
a. HE Knows whatever is within the celestial realm and the terrestrial world,
b. and HE knows whatever you hide of your motives and deeds as well as whatever you disclose of them.
c. And Allah is All-Aware of whatever is within the hearts.

64:05
a. Has not the account of those come to you who disbelieved before you in the Missions and the Messages of their Messengers?
b. So they tasted the evil consequences of what they did, and for them was a painful punishment.

64:06
a. That was so because their Messengers came to them with Clear Messages, but they would
mockingly say:
b. What!
c. ‘Will a mere human being like ourselves guide us to the truth?’

656 Surah 64 * Al-Taghabun

d. So they would deny the truth, and turn away in disbelief.
e. Indeed, Allah had no need for them and their faith.
f. For Allah is All-Sufficient, The All-Praised.

64:07
a. Those who disbelieve vehemently contend that they will never be resurrected after they die.
b. Assure them:
c. ‘Yes indeed!
d. By my Rabb - The Lord!
e. You will certainly be resurrected to a new dimension of existence.
f. And, then, you will also be apprised of everything you had been doing in this worldly life, and held accountable.
g. And, of course, that is easy for Allah to do.

64:08
a. Therefore, believe in Allah and HIS Messenger,
b. and The Light – The Qur’an - that WE have sent down with him.
c. And Allah is Well-Aware of whatever you do.

64:09
a. You will come to know of it at the time when HE will gather you all for the Great Gathering,
b. that will be the time to determine the extent of loss to the disbelievers resulting in their fate to be Hell, and gain to the believers with their fate to be Paradise.
c. And whoever would have believed in Allah and practiced righteousness,
- HE will absolve him of his sinful trespassing, and
- admit him into Gardens with rivers flowing below them –
d. abiding therein eternally - never to die, never to leave.
e. Such will be the great success!

64:10
a. As for those who would have belied and denied OUR Messages in The Qur’an,
b. those - they will be the People of the Fire;
c. abiding therein eternally - never to die, never to leave.
d. An awful and woeful destination!

64:11
a. And no misfortune will ever befall anyone but with Allah’s Consent.
b. And whoever believes in HIM - and that the misfortune is from Allah, HE will guide his heart to endure it patiently.
c. And Allah is All-Knowing of everything that may befall you.

64:12
a. And obey Allah and obey the Messenger Muhammad!
b. And if you do not obey both or either of the two and turn away in contempt or indifference,
c. then you will be held accountable for your attitude as OUR Messenger is only assigned to proclaim and preach OUR Message clearly.

64:13
a. Allah – there is no entity of worship but HIM.
b. And, in Allah, therefore, let the Faithful put their trust.

64:14
a. O The Faithful!
b. Being mindful of Q.03:14, there would be some enemies to you from among your own
spouses and your own children,
c. as they would cause you to be distracted from the Cause of Allah and deter you from obedience to Allah and HIS Prophet,
d. so beware of them and do not give their rights precedence over the rights of Allah and HIS Prophet.
e. And if you would overlook and forgive and pardon them,
f. then you will find that Allah, likewise, is definitely Forgiving and Infinitely Compassionate.

64:15
a. In fact, your wealth and your children are a source of trial and temptation for you from the Hereafter.
b. As for Allah, with HIM is a splendid and eternal reward.

64:16
a. So hold Allah in awe as best as you can, and
b. listen and obey and be charitable - it will be better for you.
c. And whoever is saved from the selfish greed of one’s soul in this life –
d. it is they who will be successful in the Hereafter.

64:17
