67. Al-Mulk/The Sovereignty

I/We begin by the Blessed Name of Allah

The Immensely Merciful to all, The Infinitely Compassionate to everyone.

67:01
a. Blessed is HE WHO holds the reins of Sovereignty over all existence in HIS Hand,
b. and HE Manifests Sovereignty over all existence.

67:02
a. The One WHO created the phenomenon of the death and the life.
b. So that HE may test you between life and death to see which one of you would be most virtuous in deeds that pleased HIM.
c. And HE is The Almighty, The Ever-Forgiving.

67:03
a. It is also HE WHO created the seven celestial realms, one above the other in full harmony with one another.
b. You will not see any imperfection in this creation of The Immensely Merciful.
c. Then turn up your sight again!
d. Can you see any discrepancy or flaw?

67:04
a. Then turn up your sight again and again!
b. Your sight will come back to you bewildered and fatigued, unable to find any discrepancy
or flaw.

67:05
a. And, indeed, WE adorned the lowest sky to the earthly life with lamps,
b. and WE made such shooting stars/meteors that would fend off every approaching satanic evil force,
c. and, additionally, WE have prepared for them the punishment of the Blazing Fire.

67:06
a. And for those who disbelieve in their Rabb- The Lord is the punishment of Hell.
b. And it is going to be an awful and woeful destination!

67:07
a. As they would be flung into it, they will hear its furor - as it boils up,

67:08
a. as if it would nearly burst apart with fury against the disbelievers.
b. Every time a group would be flung into it, its angelic-guards would ask them:
c. ‘Did no warner come to you?’

67:09
a. They will say:
b. ‘Yes!
c. Indeed a warner did come to us, but we took it lightly and belied him by mockingly saying:
d. ‘Allah has not sent down anything’ by way of any revelation.
e. ‘In fact, you are greatly astray.’

67:10
a. And they will say, most remorsefully:
b. ‘If we had only listened or/and understood and followed, we would not have been here
among the People of the Blazing Fire!’

67:11
a. Thus, they will have confessed their sinful offenses when confession would be of no use.
b. So away with the People of the Blazing Fire.

67:12
a. As for those who would have been in awe of their Rabb - The Lord, while unseen -
b. for them is going to be forgiveness and a great reward.

67:13
a. And it is all the same for Allah whether you speak in secrecy or openly,
b. for, indeed, HE is Fully Aware of what is within your hearts.

67:14
a. Does the One WHO created not know what HE created -
b. for HE is The Knower of Subtleties and All-Aware?

67:15
a. It is HE WHO made the earth subservient for you to develop and create opportunities for your living -
b. so you may travel all around it and strive to make use of its provisions.
c. And to HIM will be the Resurrection: accountability and award.

67:16
a. Do you feel secure that HE WHO is in the Heaven - Allah - will not make you to be swallowed up by the earth, when suddenly it would begin to quake violently for your disbelief?

67:17
a. Or do you feel secure that HE WHO is in the Heaven - Allah - will not unleash upon you a violent hailstorm for your disbelief?
b. Only then you will find out how MY Warning is like!

67:18
a. Certainly, those communities before them had also belied and denied MY Messengers and MY Messages.
b. Then how awful was the consequence of their denial: total destruction!?

67:19
a. Do they never consider the birds, above them in the air, spreading out and folding their wings
in flight?
b. No one upholds them aloft except The Immensely Merciful.
c. Indeed, HE is The All-Watching of everything.

67:20
a. You are asking for the punishment to be unleashed on you. Let me know who is that force for you to help you avert HIS punishment besides The Immensely Merciful?
b. Indeed, the disbelievers are only in utter delusion about their perception of Divine Power and Might.

67:21
a. Or who is that will provide for you the sustenance if HE were to hold back HIS provision?
b. No one!
c. Yet they persist in disobedience and aversion.

67:22
a. Is the one who walks with his face upside down better guided,
b. or the one who walks upright onto a right path?

67:23
a. Say:
b. ‘It is HE WHO brought you into being from nothingness and without a precedent,
c. and made for you the faculties of the hearing, the eyesight, and the heart.
d. Yet how little you remain gratified’ to HIM by believing in HIS Creative Powers and for these blessings.

67:24
a. Say:
b. It is ‘HE WHO multiplied and dispersed you all over the earth,
c. and to HIM you all are going to be gathered’ subsequent to death and Resurrection for the reckoning.

67:25
a. While living with deep disbelief about the Resurrection they question:
b. ‘When will this promise of the Resurrection and its correlatives be fulfilled, if you are
truthful?’

67:26
a. Tell them:
b. ‘Indeed, the knowledge of the timing of the Resurrection is with Allah alone,
c. I am only a plain warner about its coming and what will happen when it comes.

67:27
a. Yet when they will see it approaching, the faces of those who disbelieved will become sad, darkened.
b. And it will be said:
c. ‘This is it what you had been impatiently calling for!’

67:28
a. Tell them:
b. ‘Have you ever considered if Allah – the One and Only God - were to destroy me along with those in faith, or have mercy upon us,
c. who can save you, the disbelievers, from a painful punishment?’

67:29
a. Proclaim:
b. ‘HE – Allah - is The Immensely Merciful.
c. In HIM we believe, and in HIM we trust with hope for HIS Mercy.
d. And you will soon know the one who is in obvious error’ with regard to one’s faith and its practice.

67:30
a. Ask them:
b. Have you ever considered ‘if your water resources were to sink deep underground who can then provide you with water streams, flowing plentifully?’
c. None but Allah - the Exalted, the Almighty.
